Privacy Policy
NorrNote is designed as a local-first notes application. NORRVIND does not operate a server that receives the content of your notes.
1. Who this policy applies to
This Privacy Policy applies to the NorrNote Android application, published under the NORRVIND developer name by Daria Elagina, Austria.
2. Data stored on your device
NorrNote can store information you create or add to the app, including note text, titles, checklist items, categories, dates and reminder settings, birthday entries, app preferences, and image attachments. This information is stored locally on your Android device by default.
Selected notes can be protected with a PIN to reduce accidental viewing. NorrNote is not positioned as a password manager or secure vault and should not be used for critical secrets such as banking passwords or recovery seed phrases.
3. No mandatory account, advertising or analytics
- NorrNote does not require a NORRVIND account or registration.
- NorrNote does not contain third-party advertising.
- NorrNote does not include an analytics SDK that sends your note content or usage history to NORRVIND.
- NORRVIND does not sell your personal data to advertisers.
4. Optional Google Drive backup
If you choose Google Drive backup, NorrNote uses Google Drive services to create and manage backup files created by NorrNote in your own Google account. The app requests the limited Google Drive drive.file scope.
A NorrNote backup can include the application database and the attachments required to restore your notes. Backup data is transferred between your device and your Google Drive account. NORRVIND does not receive or store the contents of your backup on a NORRVIND server.
Use of Google Drive is subject to Google's terms and privacy policies. You can remove NorrNote backup files from your Google Drive.
5. Google Play Billing
NorrNote Full is offered as a one-time digital purchase through Google Play. Payment processing is performed by Google. NorrNote does not receive your card number or other payment-card credentials.
The app receives purchase and entitlement information from Google Play that is necessary to determine whether NorrNote Full is available on the device. NorrNote does not send that purchase information to a NORRVIND backend server.
6. Android sharing, attachments and notifications
If you choose to share text, links or images from another Android application into NorrNote, the content you selected is imported into NorrNote and stored locally. Reminders and notification actions are handled through Android system services.
7. Data retention and deletion
Active notes remain on your device until you edit or delete them. Deleted notes are kept in the NorrNote trash for up to 30 days and are then removed automatically, unless restored earlier.
Local and Google Drive backups are maintained according to NorrNote's backup behavior. You can replace or remove backups, delete notes from the app, clear the application's local data through Android settings, and remove NorrNote-created backup files from Google Drive.
8. Security
NorrNote relies on Android application sandboxing and uses a limited Google Drive permission for optional backups. Google access tokens are not intended to be stored permanently by NorrNote. No security measure can guarantee absolute protection.
9. Children
NorrNote is not directed to children. The Google Play target audience for the initial release is adults aged 18 and over.
10. Changes to this policy
If NorrNote's data handling changes materially, this policy will be updated and the effective date above will be revised.
